Identify what needs treating
The GIANTS Academy distinguishes small, medium and large weeds and explains that treatment depends on their stage. In its standard workflow, weeders treat small weeds, hoes handle medium weeds, and large weeds require spraying. Check crop restrictions before choosing mechanical treatment. Start by checking whether weeds are enabled and what the field information reports.
Record the field, crop and weed growth stage. Keep the crop's condition separate from the weeds' stage so that your notes explain what you intended to treat. If the display is unclear, resolve that before choosing a machine from the shop.
Check the treatment before buying
Read the instructions for the tool you already own or intend to obtain. Confirm its intended treatment, operating requirements and any restrictions relevant to your crop. A familiar category name is a starting point for checking, rather than a substitute for the machine's instructions.
Use the equipment pages to identify the machine and the compatibility tool for relationships it actually records. Being able to attach an implement establishes the connection; it does not establish that the implement can operate or treat this weed stage.
Make one decision at a time. Decide on the treatment, then check the equipment and arrange access to the field. This keeps an uncertain machine choice from becoming a whole-field job before you have inspected the result.
Test, observe and keep a useful record
Make a short pass and compare the treated area with the starting condition. Check whether the field information changed as you expected. If it did not, stop and inspect the tool's position, activation and documented use before repeating the pass or buying a replacement.
Write down the machine, treatment, area tested and observed result. A clear record helps you repeat a successful approach and gives someone helping you a specific problem to examine.
When deciding whether to continue, use the information and settings in your current game. Include Precision Farming or relevant mods in your notes. Do not build the budget around a fixed yield penalty taken from a different setup; keep any unverified effect separate from the cost of the work you can estimate.
