Start with the exact failure message and where it appears. A problem noticed after an update needs a reproducible description before you can decide whether to contact the mod author, the map author or GIANTS.
The official 1.24 announcement, dated 29 September 2026, documents disabled Lua loadstring and a warning ahead of future getUniqueUserId() removal. This is relevant evidence for script authors; it does not identify the cause of your failure.
Choose a branch from the message
If the error names a script function, record the function and the nearby error lines. Check the installed mod version and its author's current compatibility instructions. Ask whether that version supports your game patch instead of assuming that any later download fixes the issue.
If the message concerns a fill-type or loading limit, record the active map and content combination. A contemporary forum discussion contains this kind of report and log-based investigation. It is a different diagnostic branch; do not describe it as proof of a Lua-function failure.
If the game reaches play but initially stutters, note whether it settles or repeats. Keep that observation separate from an error that prevents the save from opening.
Prepare a small reproduction
Use a separate test career for experiments. Follow the author's dependencies and change one relevant part of the setup at a time. Keep the original save intact so that a test without content it needs does not become your new main save.
Record each attempt, including a test that does not fail. That comparison helps distinguish the mod alone from its interaction with the map or other content.
Send a report the recipient can use
Include game version, platform, mod version and source, map, enabled dependencies, exact error and the shortest steps that reproduce it. State what you expected and what happened.
On PC or Mac, include the relevant log section when available. On console, record the displayed message and steps. Check Mods for the author reference and the official reporting route for a game issue. This guide organizes evidence; it does not supply a tested script repair or loading-limit workaround.
